Want to take a bold step to raise funds for childhood cancer? Shave your head.
That’s what the St. Baldrick’s Foundation hopes you’ll do this Saturday, March 11 at Meehan’s Public House in Sandy Springs when volunteers shave their heads in solidarity with children who lose their hair during cancer treatments. St. Baldrick’s was founded in 2004 with the goal of raising money for childhood cancer grants. They’ve been so successful that they actually fund more childhood cancer research grants than any other organization besides the US government.
Not up for shaving your head? That’s okay. You can still participate by attending the event, donating, and helping to spread the word (sharing this post is a good start!). Meehan’s has raised over $650,000 since 2008 and the goal this year is to raise $100,000!
